Question What do you think of Kurt Warner as a NFL Quarterback, and the lack of respect the Rams
seem to be getting?
Answer Hi Ray,
There's no question he's a great QB. A definite upgrade on Tony Banks, looks off his recievers, throws with touch, doesn't fumble. And the numbers speak for themselves.
A little upset Trent Green had this opportunity taken away, but that's by no means a knock on Warner.
The lack of respect to the Rams is a situation that's been going on for the last 10 years, granted they had more than their fair share of bad teams and bonehead coaching moves. I guess people just see it as a freak they did so well last year, ask a skeptic and they'll say it was down to the strength of schedule and a weak division. Go to a sports (non-st. louis) store and look for merchandise (thank god for e-commerce :).
You only have to look at the other teams that have gone from bad to good in the last decade to see there's a respect problem, seems like everyone still loves the packers, jets, patriots. It looks like the Rams are expected to be like the 94 superbowl Chargers or the Bengal teams in the 80's and go back to the basement as quick as they left.
