Question
QUESTION: Hi there. I am getting married May 30th 2009 and we are thinking of coming to St. Lucia for our honeymoon. We are on a budget so I have been spending countless hours searching the internet trying to find nice and affordable places. I would like to travel during the warmest driest months but not have to pay the higher prices. I have been leaning towards the Rendezvous all inclusive resort. Do you have any advice for me for on this resort? Also what is the weather like in September? I do not like the rain but would not mind if it rained just a little bit. Thank you for all of your help.

ANSWER: Hi Rachel,

The Rendezvous Hotel is a very nice hotel. It is one of those hotels that have been around for a really long time on the island and it is closer to the city than any of the other hotels. I can't really tell you much on price as I am not sure how this works but I can tell you that resort is a very beautiful one.

As far as weather, September is still hurricane season so there is no guarantee about the rain. I could only advise you to check the weather closer to the time you will be on the island and hope for the best.

I hope I was helpful and if there is anything else you need please feel free to ask.

QUESTION: How about June? Is the weather better then?
In your opinion, what is the best month to come to St. Lucia?

Answer
Hello again,

The hurricane season starts in June all through November so traveling to any region that can be affected by hurricanes are risky during that time. There may not be a chance of a hurricane or storm being there but there might be a chance of rain.

You might also luck out and not get any rain at all. It all depends on the weather conditions. The best time to avoid rain and storms would probably be during the off season from December-May about but like I said just monitor the weather conditions around the time you want to go on weather.com and see if everything will be ok.

Expertise

Well I was born and raised in St. Lucia so I can pretty much give you anything you want to know about the place. I do not live there anymore and haven't for ten years but I do keep in contact with friends who still do so what I can't really answer myself I will ask one of them.

Experience

I always like helping people and being from St. Lucia gives me an advantage of knowing this island through and through so I will be able to let people who want to go there on vacation know the cool places to visit and the best times of year to visit and so on. There is some information that I just do not follow and won't be able to give so please don't hold it against me.
