Question i have a large (4 foot by 5 foot) stained glass panel set into a wall viewable from both sides. i want to backligt it to maximize the viewing from one side but can only do it by ceiling mounted light fixtures - given the size and rectangular shape, what is the best fixture and bulb combination to use for this purpose
Answer This is an interesting subject. How best to light a window. I usually start at the home improvement store. And I look for the fixture and bulb that will suit my needs. Style and type of fixture is a personal choice, but I like to choose fixtures that have Xeon bulbs because they last a long time, generate less heat and put out a brilliant white light.
That's the only advice I can give, go to several home improvement stores and look for one that suits your style.
