I have been researching the "Artof stain removal" for years; trying to find just the right combination of products that will work. I have a lot of "homemade" solutions and ones that require searching for the product (but I can guide you). I wourk with fabrics, carpets, leathers, carseats, etc.

Subject: bedsheet fuzz balls

Question
OMG...I've had it with buying the proper bedsheets that don't create the pesky fuzz balls.  How does one NOT have this problem aside of not using a sheet at all?  Any suggestions?

Answer
Jodi,
Check the label of your sheets that ball-up.  I'll bet they are a low "thread count", 250 or less.  The higher the thread count, the softer and more durable the sheet is.  I have compared sheets from 300 to 1000 thread count and I prefer 400-600 thread count.  Anymore than that and the sheet is a little stiff and too heavy for my tastes.
Don't buy CHEAPO ones even if they have a high thread count.  You'll find 400 TC sheets on sale for about $50+ a set.  That is not unreasonable since the sheets last twice as long as cheap, low TC sheets.
Also wash your sheets and pillowcases alone-don't put anything else with them.  Be sure your wash load is not too much for the machine.  When things are crammed into the machine, the fabrics really rub together and that is what causes the "balling" effect.
So indulge yourself-get a set of great sheets--even check online/eBay to find a good deal!
Sweet Dreams!
