Question Hello Todd. What carpet shampooer can I buy that not only cleans but is rated the best for drying the carpet?(or leaving the carpet the dryest)
Thanks Donna
Answer Donna,
The brand is not important. What you want to look for is the p.s.i. and the "lift". These two numbers should be on the box. The p.s.i. tells you how much water is pumped from the machine and the "lift" tells you how much power the vacuum has. As far as drying, the lift number is important, but how you clean the carpet is more important. After you get the carpet wet, make sure you make several "dry" strokes where you're just vacuuming the moisture up and not wetting the carpet. Also, use as little soap as possible. If you use hot water with less detergent than the directions tell you, you will get better results.
Todd
