Question I recently moved to the tropics which means dampness and humidity. I would like to know the most earth friendly method of caring for my wood furniture and an antique leather folding screen. Please take into consideration that most commercial products available here are not earth friendly, and that the selections that are available are extremely limited. Thank you so much for your time and whatever advice you can share with me. Kathleen
Answer Kathleen,
This website (www.valhalco.com) has some earth friendly wood treatments which I'm sure you can order online and have shipped. As far as the leather screen goes, try this website (www.Surefil.com). The leather conditioner is new so I don't know how well it works, but the wood treatment has been around for a long time. The only issue with the wood treatment is it does slightly change the patina of the wood. It's not anything drastic, but it is something to keep in mind.
