Question I just read one of your answers about the soap with the red dye being spilled onto a carpet. Will the same method work for body wash? My 2 1/2 year old spilled almost a whole bottle of the stuff onto her bedroom carpet. I borrowed my mother in law's shampooer....will this work or am I going to need to go rent a Rug doctor (if the same answer applies to this question).......?
Answer The key to removing this is going to be patience. Get a spray bottle with white vinegar in it and spray liberally then RINSE with water liberally using her shampooer. USUALLY in bath wash there is not enough dye to stain a fabric otherwise all your wash cloths would turn interesting colors.
QUICKLY, the shampooer will fill with suds. Rinse it out well and start over until get clear water up. This will likely take quite a while. Consider how much suds you get from a little bit of this in the shower and the figure half a bottle of it.
