Question
how can i remove wood stain paint rrom a carpet

Answer
Elaine,

Sometimes you can and sometimes you can't with wood stain.  You can try acetone, but you have to be very careful.  Your best bet is to call a professional.  If you want to try it yourself, put a small amount of acetone on a rag.  Start blotting the spot and check if any of the stain is coming off on the rag.  If it is keep going.  Make sure you don't soak the area with the acetone, it can damage the carpet.  Also make sure you have ventilation where you are working.  If no stain comes off when you first put the rag on the spot, don't keep going.
Again my suggestion would be to call a carpet cleaner, because these our tough spots to remove yourself.

Hope this helps,
Todd
