Question My bouquet of Lilies fell onto my Berber rug.The carpet now has a yellow stain where the stamen hit. What can I do to get rid of this stain?
Answer Assuming that it really is what is commonly referred to as berber (that's not something I would assume if I were there in your house I would test it) you should be able to remove most of this with a vacuum. THEN use a good general carpet cleaner to remove the rest. The carpeting most people refer to as berber is made from a fiber that is almost indestructible by cleaning methods AND not much will permanently adhere to it. If that doesn't take it out move on to 20 volume hydrogen peroxide from a beauty supply house, BUT TEST IN and inconspicuous area first, apply with a spray bottle and wait for a half hour or so before applying again if necessary.
