Question I have a beauty salon and hair color has spilled on my floor and rubber mats. I would like to know how to remove it. thanks
Answer margaret,
This is not something that can always be removed. Obviously hair color is dye. If the rubber mats absorb the dye, it's usually impossible to remove. Same thing with the floors. Try washing the floor with a regular cleaner like Pin Sol first. The only other thing to try is bleach. You have to be careful though, because depending on what kind of floor you have the bleach can damage the floor or the color of the floor. If you can use bleach, make sure you dilute it about 10 parts of water to 1 part bleach. You can always make it stronger if it doesn't work. If the spots do disappear with the bleach, make sure you rinse the area out with water when you're done. Bleach does not stop working until it gets neutralized. So wait for the spot to disappear, then rinse it with water. Even if the bleach doesn't work, rinse the area out when you're done.
