Stains, Mopping, Wiping, Ironing, Cleaning - Raised rough spot on polished granite

Expert: Todd Malin - 6/29/2009

Question
Hi, Todd.  My polished granite counter has a small, raised rough spot.  I can see it only at an angle, and I don't think it would photograph well.  I tried to remove it with Method Daily Granite, but that had no effect.  What else would be safe to try on granite?

Answer
Sheila,

Most likely you would have to re-polish the affected area.  You really need a professional to do it.  Usually they would do the whole counter, because it's really difficult to do one spot, although it can be done sometimes.

It unfortunately is probably not something you're going to be able to do yourself.

Todd
