Stains, Mopping, Wiping, Ironing, Cleaning - cleaning leather

Expert: Bern - 6/8/2009

Question
Do you know of anything that will take ballpoint ink of leather?

Thanks,

Jo

Answer
There are a couple of things I have used that work for me.

FIRST try rubbing alcohol.  IF that doesn't do it try WD40.  WD40 changed it's formulation to make it less flammable so that may have changed it's cleaning properties,  I haven't tried it since then.

Also NEATSFOOT oil seems  to get some foreign things off of leather.

BE SURE and test in an inconspicuous area and don't use more than necessary of either one.

GOOD LUCK
