Stains, Mopping, Wiping, Ironing, Cleaning - Mold formation in towels

Question
Hello,

I was wondering how long it takes for mold to develop on a wet towel and would a basket of wet towels produce enough mold in a week to be harmful to a person.

In summary:  If a person uses one new bath towel each day to dry himself after a morning shower, and places it directly in a laundry basket in his room, but washes his laundry every Wednesday, would enough mold developed and be released in the air to have an impact on the person if they have an allergy to mold?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Answer
Mold is only harmful to you if you are sensitive to it.  If you ARE sensitive to it you should let the towel dry before putting it into the basket.  That brings another question.  WHY use a clean towel every day?  If you are CLEAN when you finish your shower your towel should be good for aa least a few days shouldn't it?
