Question My male cat peed on the sides of all my smooth leather sofas. I have cleaned the leather with everything I can think of. As soon as it dries, the pee stains are still there and are now a white color. Should I try cleaning it with something else or apply some type of oily product to cover the white spots?
Answer Jan,
I wish there was a better answer for you. Cat pee and leather is a bad combination. If you've tried using a cleaner specifically made for leather, that's all you can do. It's very difficult and many times impossible to remove it all the way. Leather can take 24 hours to completely dry though, so sometimes the spot will disappear as it completely dries even though it looks dry after a few minutes.
As far as the white spots go, it depends on what you used. You probably removed the color. The only thing you can do is see if the store you bought the sofas from sells leather dye.
