Answer WELL, I thought I had answered this but I didn't complete all the steps so here we go again. Sorry for the delay.
I have very hard water at my house and I use CLR. It removes all the deposits and I have never had any problems with it. DO MAKE SURE your bathroom is well ventilated when you use it.
