Stamps (Philately) - Poster of 1st day of issue stamp

Expert: Terry Tipton - 11/6/2009

Question
I have a wall poster (foam back) of a 33 cent stamp with the title "Green Bay Packers". I believe the first date of issue for the actual stamp was Sept 17, 1999. It showes several packers on stance ready for the ball to be centerd to the quarterback.   I am thinking of giving it as a gift to my son for Christmas but was interested as to the value of the poster.

Answer
Hello Roger,

Thanks for your question.

Those posters you are asking about are collectible. There is no known booklist to quote a value, so they are quite speculative. I have seen them list on E-Bay between $2.00 and $7.00.

That being said, I think any young person who enjoys sports would enjoy that poster. It's a great gift idea!  Keep in mind, that this is being said by a Baltimore Ravens fan (smile).

Good luck!

Thanks again for your question and let me know if I can be of any more help.

Terry
