Question Hi I am very new to the stamp business, but have some sets I feel are valuable and would like to know how to get them graded. A company by the name of Stanford Myers Investment Center out of Las Vegas Nevada contacted us and said they would help us grade out stamps to find out their worth and then sell them for us- Their commission is 10% Have you ever heard of this company and how do I check them out out to make sure they are legit?? Thanks, Jody Rose
Answer Hi Jody,
The commission rate Stanford offer is low, however I have not hear of the firm. I would recommend that you try two other sources. The American Philatelic Society at www.stamps.org and the American Philatelic Foundation at www.americanphilatelic.com. Both are well known and should be able to help.
cheers
