Stamps (Philately)/error, "A" stamp booklet
I have an "A" stamp booklet, the last page of the booklet contains stamps that were miscut, any value it it ? Thank you.
Thanks for the question,
Frank, The short answer is yes, there most likely is additional value. These would be of interest to collectors of EFO's (Errors, Freaks and Oddities) and possibly some booklet collectors. But without a picture it is very difficult to estimate, as the value depends on the amount of the miscut. The value can vary from no premium for a very minor miscut to about $20-$25 for an extreme miscut booklet pane in the booklet. I have found that most (but not all) collectors don't pay much more of a premium for a miscut pane in the booklet (as it is difficult to display). If you decide to remove it from the booklet, do not separate it at the perforation, carefully remove the staples so the booklet comes apart, leaving the tab intact. Two other notes if you want to research it, the Catalog number for the booklet is BK133 and the Cat# for the individual panes is 1736a. I actually don't see many major miscuts on this pane but I believe the estimate is close.
