Question
I have a 2-cent Jackson with a star down by tip of the nose  no dots in the scroll to the left of upper number 2.is this a common or rare stamp.

Answer
Hi Charles,

You would need to post a good scan of the stamp for me to really help you, but it doesn't sound like what you have is "rare", and in fact, there really is no 2c 1863 Jackson stamp that would have the "star on cheek" without also having the "dots in upper let scroll".
