Stamps (Philately)/Value

Question
For the US Bicentennial, the United states issued a page of stamps with the state flags from all 50 states.  I have a unbroken complete page set, plus a self addressed envelope from each state capital with their state flag stamp on it cancelled on the exact same day, the 4th of July 1976, our bicentennial.  I am interested in selling the complete set if a reasonable value can be set.  In 2011 you valued someone else's unbroken page of stamps at around $20.00.  What is your opinion of today's value, plus the complete set of cancelled stamps on the 200th anniversary from each state capital.

Answer
Alan,

The 2013 catalog (retail) value for the 1976 Bicentennial 50 State Flags sheet is $17.50.  Individual First Day Covers from the sheet are valued at $1.50 apiece.  You would likely find a buyer for your collection on the online auction site ebay.com, but I suspect the collection would sell at some percentage below retail value.

Good luck!
