Stamps (Philately)/scott 627

I am trying to find out what size a full sheet
of these was and how many panes it contained.

Hello John,

Thanks for your question.

That particular stamp has always been one of my favorites.  The 2c Sesquicentennial Expo issue is Scott #627 and it was first issued on May 10, 1926.  The stamps were printed from plates of 200 and then broken down into panes of 50 for sales to the public.  A full sheet of 50, in mint, non-hinged condition would list for $125.00 today.  Nice find!

Thanks again for your question and let me know if I can be of any more help.

P.S.  Please remember to rate my reply to your inquiry.  Appreciate it.

As I mentioned, I have been collecting philatelic items for most of my 56 years. I have several albums of United States issues (most of them are pages I designed myself) and I also have numerous albums of postmarks sorted and researchhed by state.
