I have a 5 cent Lincoln pre printed envelope,(never used)with the printed stamp on the inside of the envelope (upper right inside of envelope). The stamp is blue background with a white Lincoln profile. What is its worth? Thank you.
Answer A typical reverse folded envelope would have a fair market value in the $2 to $10 range. There would have been at least an additional 50 or more produced for just this one event. Stacks of printed blanks were removed from the press and transferred to another stack awaiting folding. Accidental inverting of one of the batches removed from the press would have essentially been sent through the folder flipped front to back along the horizontal axis.
