Question I heard a while ago that maybe Armus was the result of the Organians shedding all evil from their systems. This would explain why the Organians are so peaceful and why Armus is such a jerk.
Is this a possibility?
If Armus held one of the Edos hostage in a shuttlecraft, do you think the Edo god would give Armus a chance to free the Edo, or would it immediately destroy him?
Suppose an energy creature (in human form) were on the Edo planet, and they broke one of the laws. Do you think the Edos would try to figure out a way to put the Douwd, Organian, or Paxan, etc., to death, or would they just let the infraction go?
Would the Crystalline Entity have the power to destroy the Guardian of Forever?
Other than the Q and Cytherians, what creatures do you think can understand the Guardian of Forever? (Apparently Spock's mind/science was ill-equipped to understand the Guardian.)
Answer Hi John -
According to the Memory Alpha website Armus was the result of the inhabitants of Vagra II shedding all their negative emotions. I've never heard that the Organians were inhabitants of Vagra II, but I don't have any trouble believing that is a possibility.
The Edo God seemed to be content to let the Edo deal with Wesley's 'transgression' against their laws and only became involved when Picard posed a credible threat to its worshippers. Given that I would guess the God would ignore the situation until one of his people was under imminent threat, and then immediately destroy him without a second thought.
The Edo seemed pretty adamant about their laws and unwilling to back down, even when faced with a ticked off Starfleet Captain with the power of the Enterprise to back him up. Given that, I wouldn't think they would pursue their case against an energy being just as doggedly.
I doubt they would let the infraction go and would attempt to prosecute, but would only be able to do so at the whim of the energy creature.
I don't think the Crystalline Entity would have the power to destroy the Guardian of Forever. The Crystalline Entity is primarily a big electro-magnetic generator, an energy that I think the Guardian would be immune (or highly resistant) to. The Guardian must have a massive quantum power source in order to accomplish the things it does, which (I think) puts it in a power class well beyond the Entity .
Hmmmmmm.......The Guardian was an immensely complex mechanism/being who apparently has some power over quantum and temporal energies. I would think that the T'Kon might be able to understand him (somewhat) and possibly the Organians. Nagilum and/or the Prophets of Bajor might have a greater understanding of the Guardian, but, other than Q, I don't think there very many individuals who could comprehend its mindset.
The Traveler might have a greater insight as well and, possibly the Borg, who have shown some knowledge of temporal mechanics and who have the assimilated knowledge of several thousand races from which to draw on.
