Question QUESTION: How would Khan and Danar react if Lore taunted them in the turbolift?
Kirk put Khan down when he hit him in the stomach with a piece of metal.
If Kirk hit the following with the same force in the stomach, what effect would it have?
A) Admiral Quinn
B) Worf
C) Spock
D) Taurean
E) Gorn
F) Borg drone
G) Danar
H) 8472
I) Power Play O'Brien
J) Paxan Troi
K) Salt Vampire
ANSWER: Hi John -
Khan initially was an individual in great control of himself and his actions. In Wrath of Khan he had been driven to the point of madness however and was an individual very much out of control.
I think 'initial Khan' would smirk and not be drawn into a conflict he didn't initiate himself, but that 'crazy Khan' would attack the android in a rage.
A) Quinn - I doubt Quinn would have much of a reaction other than a bodily reaction to the force applied to him. The symbiont would block much of his pain/trauma response
B) Worf - I'm sure it would hurt him, but he'd grit his teeth through the pain and keep fighting.
C) Spock - He'd feel some pain and discomfort, but he'd keep fighting.
D) Taurean - My guess is one of them probably wouldn't feel much and would keep trying to take Kirk's head off.
E) Gorn - Indications from the fight the Gorn Captain had with Kirk suggest the creature might be momentarily stunned, but would keep fighting.
F) Drone - We've seen other drones keep fighting unless their physicality is somehow immobilized and I think a shot to the stomach like the one Kirk delivered to Khan probably wouldn't cause a drone more than a moment's hesitation.
G) Danar - He'd have a similar reaction as Worf.
H) 8472 - If one of them actually got hit I bet he/she/it would shrug it off within seconds.
I) O'Brien - I think the human host body would be damaged, but the Paxan would block any physiological reactions that could impair the host's fighting ability.
J) Troi - Probably a similar reaction as O'Brien
K) Vampire - Most likely she'd just keep on fighting.
Thanks!
Deran

QUESTION: How would Danar react to Lore's taunting?
Whom would Lore have a better chance of incapacitating in the lift?
A) Apollo (can't increase his size)
B) Gary Mitchell
I'm not sure how Worf and Spock could keep fighting against Kirk but Khan would get put down. Since Khan is enhanced, and (according to him) is 5 times stronger than a human, surely that puts him at least equal to Worf and Spock in strength, if not stronger.
Also, you said that Odo could pin Lore against the turbolift wall by enlarging his size. Are you certain Lore couldn't move the mass?
Answer Qa'Pla John -
Danar seemed to be a more long range strategic thinker and I doubt would simply react to Lore's taunting.
My guess is Apollo would probably go down a little easier than Mitchell since the self styled god doesn't have the Starfleet officer's training and experience.
Worf and Spock have an 'aggression factor' that Khan doesn't. I guess the best example I can come up with is from many, many years ago when I was a volunteer at a zoo. I saw a zookeeper apply (let's say) 60 cc's of tranquilizer to an elephant to put her to sleep so the zoo veterinarian could examine her. Let's say the elephant weighed 2 tons. (I don't remember the exact weight).
Later that same week I saw a zookeeper use 130 cc's of the same tranquilizer on a rhinoceros that weighed the same. (2 tons).
When I asked the zookeeper why the same size and weight animal required more tranquilizer he cited the differing temperaments in the animals.
Tranquilizing an animal effectively requires an understanding of their biology and temperament as the same amount of tranquilizer that can put down a two ton elephant, will only tick off a two ton rhino. The rhino's temperament gives them biological reserves, adrenaline and other advantages that enable them to resist what would normally put down a species of their size and weight.
I think Spock (being half human/half Vulcan) must be able to absorb a lot of damage and use his ancestral 'temperament' to fight back and I certainly think Worf is capable of the same thing.
