Star Trek: The Next Generation - Organians

Expert: Deran McKean - 10/23/2009

Question
In an Enterprise episode, humans are taken over by Organians.

Do you think an Organian(s) (max. 10) could take over the following?

A) Douwd
B) Prophet
C) Metron
D) Nagilum
E) Edo god
F) Trelane
G) Armus
H) Borg Queen
I) Guardian
J) Calamarain
K) Fellow Organian
L) Lore

Answer
Hi John -

A) Douwd - given the Douwd's ability to somehow manipulate energy on a fantastic scale I'd say he could keep even 10 Organians from taking possession of his body.

B) Prophet - I doubt it given the Prophet's nature as 'trans-temporal' beings.  From what I saw the Organians perception of time is similar to a humanoid's, so I doubt their consciousness could take over and handle a Prophet.

C) Metron - Hmmm, maybe, again it would depend on the extent of the Metron's ability to manipulate energy and what kind of energy the Organians are made up of.

D) Nagilum - I seriously doubt it.

E) Edo God - I don't think so, the being's nature as a trans-dimensional being should be beyond the Organian's capabilities.

F) Trelane - Wow, my gut instinct is to say the couldn't but who knows?

G) Armus - I don't think so, as a gestalt entity composed of 'cast off' mental energy I doubt the Organians could find anything to anchor on to in order to take possession of him.

H) Borg Queen - I don't see why not.

I) Guardian - I doubt it given his truly unique and alien nature.

J) Calamarain - I wouldn't think so as the energy from both beings would probably react together.

K) Organian - Probably not.

L) Lore - Possibly if they could continue powering his artificial organs.

Thanks!

Deran
