Question Do you believe the following are singular beings, or does more than one of them exist?
(I did not include Trelane because I assume his parents are of the same race. If you disagree, please include him.)
A) Douwd
B) Crystalline Entity (prior to its death)
C) Darmok beast
D) Armus
E) Edo god
F) Nagilum
G) Companion
H) Apollo (not sure if his mention of other 'gods' was factual)
I) Borg Queen
J) Nomad
K) Traveler
Please rank the beings from most likely to being all alone in the universe to least likely to being alone.
Answer Hi John -
A) Douwd - My impression was that there are other Douwd out there somewhere in the Galaxy, but that they are very elusive.
B) Entity - My initial thought was that the Entity was unique in the galaxy.
C) Darmok Beast - I have a strong impression that other beasts of that type exist on the planet Picard and Dathon were stranded on, perhaps with large areas of territory like a terrestrial grizzly bear?
D) Armus - He's definitely unique!
E) Edo God - My feeling is that he is a unique form of life
F) Nagilum - I think he might be the only one of his kind.
G) Companion - It's been so long since I saw the episode but didn't she have another of her kind that was her partner who died and it was that which made her so lonely and receptive to Cochrane?
H) Apollo - I think he comes from a race of others just like him.
I) Queen - Just using the televised episodes as a guide she seems to be unique within the Galaxy and among the Collective.
J) Nomad - definitely unique in all the Galaxy.
K) Traveler - the Traveler indicated in "Where No One Has Gone Before" that there were others like him and seemed to regard Wesley Crusher as a distant cousin of a sort.
Does that help?
Deran
