Question Wow, I read another person's answer on the TOS side and the expert actually demanded 'top marks' as a rating. Talk about pushy. I'm glad you don't act that way.

Answer No kidding really?
Geez its not like we get paid and are bucking for promotions. I do this because I really get a kick out of the interaction with other Trek fans not for ratings!!
Oh well, to each their own I suppose!
Okay Kelvans: My guess is that they are pretty convinced of their superiority since, according to the dialogue from the episode, they had pretty much conquered most of the Andromeda Galaxy. Given that mind set here are my thoughts.
A) I bet they'd take a run at it. Their dice making weapons seemed to be pretty effective at a distance so, if they could somehow boost those capabilities and say, turn the androids on an orbiting ship into dice without having to get close enough where their opponents speed and strength would be a problem, I'd bet they might try.
B) Hmmmmm, I bet they'd think twice about messing with 1,000 Apollos. Any being that can control energy the way Apollo can is a difficult opponent and trying to take on a big group of them would be really, really risky. The Kelvans were all about dominating and controlling their opponents and 'dicing' all the crew members of the Enterprise other than those they felt they absolutely needed. So, I doubt taking on 1,000 Apollos would allow them that kind of control.
C) Krenim - Possibly. Again the Kelvans seemed about total domination and control of any opponent force and taking on the Krenim would be really risky and open the Kelvans up for temporal strikes. I'd bet they might leave the Krenim alone because of that as the risk is just too great.
D) Calamarain - The Kelvans showed very advanced scientific abilities when they were able to modify the warp engines of the Enterprise to reach unheard of speeds, place themselves in fully functional human shells, and develop a weapon like the dice maker. So, I'd bet they might be able to pretty easily come up with a means to contain and or disable the Calamarain and probably would go ahead and do so.
E) Great Link - I bet they would take a run at the Great Link. As advanced as the Founders were their scientific knowledge wasn't as impressive as the Kelvans and I'd bet the Kelvans would be able to adjust their dice making weapons to distill a Founder just as easily as a human being (or half human hybrid like Spock.)
F) Collective - Given the Kelvan's knowledge I'd bet that the Borg might be particularly vulnerable in their estimation. Even Data was able to conceive of a modified computer virus that could disable the Borg and, if he could do it, I'd imagine the Kelvans could as well.
G) Romulans - Given the vast numbers of individuals that encompass the Romulan empire I'd imagine the Kelvans wouldn't readily attack the Empire without more support. Taking over a single starship with half a dozen Kelvans is on thing, taking on the entire Romulan Empire is another. Plus, the Romulans just might go ahead and blast a confiscated ship to smithereens whereas the Federation probably would try and negotiate first.
H) Quinn - I think they might. I don't see why their dice making weapon shouldn't work on Quinn and, if six Kelvans were willing to take on the entire crew of the NCC-1701 then I'd bet they would take a run at 1,000 Quinns.
I) Trelane - He's a tough one as the full extent of his powers isn't known. My guess is that the Kelvans might be real hesitant about going after Trelane since his powers aren't fully understood so his capabilities cannot be anticipated. Also, at the end of Squire of Gothos Trelane's 'parents' show up and who knows how many more of their kind are running around in the Galaxy who might take offense to the Kelvans messing with one of their own?
J) Calamarain - If the Kelvans had sufficient time to prepare, I'd bet they would take on the Calamarain. My guess is that a smart Kelvan could come up with a weapon or something to disable the Calamarain, maybe even a few of them at a time.
K) Organians - Given the Organians apparent level of power I'd bet the Kelvans wouldn't want to risk messing with them.
L) Metrons - As with the Organians, I think attacking the Metrons would present too much risk.
M) Q - No way! The Kelvans are about controllable risks not blatant suicide.
N) Vash - If she were still Q's companion, no way.
O) Traveler - I doubt it. The Kelvans knew enough about humans to perfectly replicate human forms, emotions, feelings even though they themselves didn't have any experience with such things. That indicates to me a species that extensively studies its opponents prior to engagement and too many things about the Traveler are unknown (I think) to make the Kelvans feel comfortable in challenging him.
P) Prophets - No, again too much is unknown and their ability to see beyond the confines of linear time is a tactical advantage that no amount of planning could probably account for.
Q) Jem'Hadar - I bet they would. Find a way to control the production of Ketracel White and the Kelvans would effectively control the Jem'Hadar.
R) Armuses - Probably not. It would just be too risky with so little chance of any real gains.
S) Darmok Beasts - I'm sure they would, they probably consider the monsters even lower than us lowly humans.
T) 8472 - I doubt it. Again, too much is unknown. One of the largest considerations would be whether or not 8472 has other allies in their own dimension of Fludic Space they could call on for help.
I'd say Hugh joining the crew would be more likely. Hugh was a 'blank slate' emotionally that could be more easily molded to accept the ideals of the Federation.
Fajo showed no 'moral compass' at all, willing to kidnap, blackmail, even commit premeditated murder to satisfy his own desires and those things don't hold much promise that he would learn to change and/or be an effective member of the crew.
