Question If the Enterprise re-routed all of the ship's power, including all of the warp power, to the brig, could it possibly then contain Trelane, an Organian, a Douwd, or Metron?
You've stated in the past that an active warp core is powerful enough to kill advanced energy creatures, though I don't remember which ones you named. If the power of a warp core is strong enough to kill an energy creature, I'd have to believe all of the power of the warp core could fortify the brig enough to contain one of these beings.
But my logic could be flawed, of course.
Easier to contain?

B) Species 8472

Answer Hi John -
If all of the power of the warp core were used it could probably physically contain an Organian, Metron or Douwd in theory for a short time but, given their ability to 'teleport' they could just transport away.
Easier to contain - Probably 8472 since they have bodies constructed of matter, plus the Calamarain can generate an enormous amount of energy that it would take an equally enormous amount to handle.
I think they would be easier to contain than Armus as well.
Wow the Armus/Calamarain one is hard. I think they would be equally difficult to keep bottled up given their respective energy manipulation qualities.
I think the Darmok beast could be contained for a while, but it would pretty quickly start banging on the walls and would probably eventually free itself.
A) Apollo - Probably the Calamarain as they seem the most intelligent of the bunch and the most likely (in Apollo's estimation) to comprehend how godlike he is.
B) Danar - Probably the Dauphin beast as he could probably train and/or domesticate it. (To some degree anyway).
C) Spock - Probably the Calamarain as they seem the most intelligent and the species he could most likely learn from.
D) Traveler - Probably the Entity because of its abilities to travel through space and willingness to go with the Traveler where ever he was going.
E) Data - The Entity, it might know things about the world where Data was constructed and/or somehow have catalogued the electrical energy of their memories. If Data could discover a means to access and translate those memories, he could conceivably talk to his 'father.'!
F) Morn - Whichever would be the most likely to buy him a drink at Quarks!
G) Odo - Probably the Dauphin Beast as he would the easiest to contain and control.
H) Barclay - Probably the Dauphin Beast as, of the bunch, its the least dangerous.
I) Sarek - Probably the Dauphin Beast as it would be the most likely to respond to his attempts to domesticate it.
J) Calamarain - probably the Dauphin Beast as it would be the most vulnerable to their abilities.
K) Kelvans - Probably the Entity as they would have a very powerful weapon in their possession if they could control it.
