Question Are there any books, that reference that Padme and Anakin were together in the afterlife? I have been searching books, without a complete answer.
Thanks.
Answer Hi there!
Jedi beliefs (to simplify and sum up) state that when something dies, it becomes "One with the force" since the force connects all things. Some jedi (Jedi masters in ancient times before the technique was lost; Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luke, and possibly others after it is rediscovered by Qui Gon, as explained toward the end of Episode 3) retain their individuality after death and can appear as force ghosts. After awhile, even they become one with the force and that ability fades.
As far as I know, there are no such published books... There are a small number of novels in which the spirit of Anakin Skywalker returns in Force Ghost form to impart warnings and wisdom to Luke and Leia, but the expanded universe seems to be completely bereft of references to what happened to Padme's spirit. I like to think that, as apparently happens after a length of time to all force ghosts, Anakin's spirit was eventually absorbed into the rest of the force, thus reuniting his spirit with Padme's.
There are some stories written by Star Wars fans that include that type of thing published online, but they're FAR FROM BEING OFFICIAL and aren't considered part of the Star Wars "canon". If you're interested in that type of thing, you can google "Anakin Padme Afterlife" and get some results, but I personally prefer to stick to officially published material.
