AboutLauren Gilkey Expertise I consider myself an expert because not only have I watched the movies repeatedly, but I consider myself a "purist" in the sense that I've read the books, but I only accept certain books as belonging to the true story. For example, the books written after "Vision of the Future" by Zahn I do not count as authentic storyline. My areas of specific expertise are: Jedi history, Han Solo, and bounty hunters.

Question Hi Lauren
I just recently started reading a few of the books available, but its been difficult to read in order.I saw in your profile that there are some books that you consider the real original ones.If possible could you give a list. I'm actually really intrested in where the skywalkers end up. I heard that Luke marries an d has twins as well as leia. please clarify.
Answer Hi Teri,
Ah, the confusing world of Star Wars books... I recommend either starting from the "beginning" with Timothy Zahn's "Outbound Flight." Then read the Han Solo trilogy, then Zahn's "Allegiance," then "Shadows of the Empire," then the Bounty Hunter series.
After you've read all that, then you're ready to begin the rest of the story, starting with "The Truce at Bakura." Go ahead and read all the books that you will see in the chronologies in the front or back of most new Star Wars books. They will include the Jedi Academy trilogy, the X-wing series, and quite a few individual books. Read all the way until you reach the end of Zahn's "Vision of the Future." After that, there is only one remaining book to read that, in my opinion, counts as a legitimate, true to the story, book. That is Zahn's "Survivor's Quest."
In case you haven't noticed - I mention Zahn a lot. That is because I have found him to be the most engaging, and true to the Star Wars Universe as any other author.
