About Greg Bonkowski
Expertise
I can answer pretty much anything when it comes to the Luke Skywalker, the Jedi Knights, the history of the Jedi Knights, and other characters and incidents throughout the Star Wars saga. I am also interested in the technical aspects of the Star Wars saga. I like to think of myself as both a historian and an archeologist of the time period that took place in a galaxy far, far away.

Experience
I have been a Star Wars fan since the time my father took me to see the first movie when it was released in 1977. I have read practically every book that I can get my hands on, and I keep up to date with production of and the stories behind all five films(six if you count the next one to be released.) I am pretty much interested in the mythos surrounding Star Wars, and the history of the Jedi Knights.

Education/Credentials
B.A. Washington and Jefferson College

Graduated top 1/4 of my class.

Question
the caracter name that george lucas was going to use instead of luke skywalker

Answer
Dear Raul,

First of all, I want to thank you for allowing me to answer this question. To begin with, yes, Luke Skywalker was not the first name that George Lucas was going to use for his hero. The hero's name was actually Annikin STARKILLER. In the first rough drafts Annikin's father Kane had asked old Jedi General Luke Skywalker to train both Annikin and his brother Deak to become Jedi Knights and help defeat the Sith Lords.

Kane Starkiller was a Jedi Bendu master with a war-torn body made up of artificial limbs. Sound familar. As you read from the link that I provided, http://hem.passagen.se/wookiee/developm/ Lucas saved alot of his ideas from his treatment and fleshed them out to become the space war saga that we have all come to know and love.

Once again, I want to thank you for allowing me to answer this question. If you anymore questions, please feel free to ask me anything.

Sincerely,

Greg Bonkowski
