Question i think that darth maul was anakin's father because i have this book that says when anakin went into the crystal cave to make his lightsaber that darth maul appeared before him and threw a lightsaber to anakin and said i am apart of you and i always will
Answer I suppose that's a possible view. However, I'm inclined to think his mother Shmi was being honest when she said there was no father, in which case the appearance of Darth Maul in your book would be interpreted as an omen, symbolizing that he would fall to the dark side (since at the time your story takes place, Maul is the only dark sider Anakin has seen). I tend to think Shmi would remember having an intimate encounter with Maul.
