Subject: jabba the hut

Question
In the phantom menace you see jabba the hut before the race and another worm.
Where did that one go?

Answer
Hello there,

First of all, thank you for the question.

The character to whom you refer is Gardulla the Hutt, whom many fans consider the "female Jabba" due to the character's effeminate qualities (technically, Hutts are hermaphrodites, so they are not associated with any genders, but I will refer to Gardulla as a "she" throughout my response for simplicity). Gardulla's main claim to fame, other than the fact that she is of the same species as Jabba, is that she was the owner of Anakin Skywalker and his mother, Shmi Skywalker, before they were sold to Watto the Toydarian (the blue creature who made a bet with Qui-Gon during the Boonta Eve Podrace).

Gardulla was not present in any of the subsequent "Star Wars" movies because she died before the events in "Attack of the Clones" took place. Her death occurred after a heated confrontation with Jango Fett. She had originally intended to feed Jango to a krayt dragon (due to conflicts concerning another bounty hunter, Zam Wessell, whom we see in "Episode II") but instead, the krayt dragon swallowed Gardulla.

You can read more about Gardulla the Hutt by going to the following page:

I hope that helps. If there is anything unclear in my response, please feel free to ask again. Thanks.
