Subject: obi-wans words to anakin

Question
when obi-wan striked down anakin why were these lines put into that scene in
the script "you were the chosen one it was said that you would destroy the sith
not join them bring balance to the force not leave it in darkness" why would
those words come out of obi-wan at that moment? please answer.

Answer
The short answer (and the easiest to accept) is that Obi-Wan was overcome by emotion, and said these lines out of his intense grief. He thought he had killed Anakin, and was overwhelmed by both his grief and the intense hatred he sensed coming from the only person Obi-Wan really ever considered to be a brother to him.

Thank you for the question.

If you have any others, feel free to ask.
