Question who casted jake lloyd to be anakin and what age was anakin supposed to be in the movie instead of the age of 9 he was.
Answer All casting for Star Wars was done by George Lucas, so it was his decision to go with Jake Lloyd as young Anakin. In the novelization, Anakin was I beleive, supposed to be about 14 years old. So either Anakin had one hell of a growth spurt, or Lucas had a bit of a lapse in judgement. Your call.
