Question I have a somewhat unique goal. I want to own and operate a nonprofit cemetery. I have a Bachelor’s degree in human services and want to get a Master’s degree in business. I would like to obtain a position in a company or organization which provides funeral, burial, and/grief services in order to learn more about the industry. Can you advise me on how to best pursue my goals.
Thanks
Answer Teresa: For starters I would suggest you do an extensive net search using key word phrases such as "companies that offer funeral, burial and grief services" and similar phrases. Also I recently heard of an organization, perhaps it is a business - The Bereavement Busters - check them out as well. Also I would suggest you consult with funeral directors in your area. They could offer useful info and perhaps provide leads as well. They could also give you the names of funeral business national organizations and magazine/newsletter publications that could provide leads as well. I am told there is a new designation within the funeral business: the Certified Remover - you may want to achieve this designation.
