Question What is a state resale number? and what are the requirements to get one? Is it the same like a tax ID number? My business is in North Carolina. I am looking into buying wholesale t-shirts from a company and they require this number.
Help!!!
Kimberly,
When you started your business and registered it with your state, they would have signed you this number. If you can't find your paperwork, just give them a call or go to their website and email them that you need this number.
Depending on how you formed your company this number may be your social security number.
