Question
Hello Lee,

My name is Igor, and I just recently graduated from university. I am now working as a fitness professional, and I would like to run lunchtime fitness services (most people think personal training, but this is not what I'm offering. I offer consultations, assessments, and exercise program design) in the corporate world.

My question is how would I be able to find the person to approach in order to propose this? I already know what to propose and how to propose it, that's not the issue. The issue is WHO to propose to and HOW to find who that person is.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Igor.

Answer
If you are looking at individuals then you need to be like the lion and "go where the antelopes are" - the watering hole.  Go where your potential customers will be gathering.  It looks as if you are aiming to go into companies and offer services.  It's difficult to say who to approach because it will vary with companies.  I suggest you start at the HR group and maybe suggest to your existing customers that they give you details of the appropriate people.  Some mail drops into the HR groups of medium and large companies close by.

Follow up following rating:  I tell the guy everything he needs to know in order to contact the right people and he says my knowledge is only 7! You can't help some people even for free.  They are so ungrateful!
