Question Hi John,
I have recently started doing strength training (since 3 months), for some reason my right chest muscle looks smaller than my left. I never noticed it before, it all started after the weight training. I am a right handed person (27 years old) and I have played a lot of sports, do you think that might have caused this?
For chest exercise I generally do
decline bar-bell bench press
bar-bell bench press
incline bar-bell bench press
push-ups

Answer Alex,
Asymmetries in muscles are common. In the sport of bodybuilding, it is such a big deal that bodybuilders spend alot of time, trying to "even out" muscles so that they look perfect. For joe-schmoes like me and you, we have to deal with it. Ask yourself, "is it really that noticeable by others, or only by my eyes?"
What I can suggest is to begin a program that involves at least some unilateral chest exercises (like standing cable presses using one arm on a cable tower or Free motion machine). this way you can concentrate on building strength in the effected side and possible some hypertrophy to decrease the asymmetry.
