Question
Hello, I am a sgt in the army and will be training for my first marathon this year.  I am also running the army 10 miler and a half marathon.  Do you know of a good training plan for all of this without over exerting myself.  It would need to be a bit flexible as i am not always able to stick by a work out or running schedule because of my job.  Also any good diet tips, I found my self getting almost nothing to eat trying to eat healthy, because most things that are available just aren't healthy.  Thank you for any help

Sarah

Answer
Hi Sarah, I have ran many marathons and the most important thing is the long run once a week and sometimes once every two weeks depending on many things.  There are many training plans for marathons.....try Runner's World magazine's web site.....Randy Galloways run/walk plan, or just google marathon training and you will get numerous programs for biginners and advanced runners.  Good luck...Joe
