If there are questions specific to weight loss or muscle gain, body transformation programs, and some health issues (osteoporosis, diabetes, arthritis, elderly fitness, pregnancy, and fibromyalgia), I can help. I also deal with athletes who want to improve their speed, agility, and quickess, as well as providing sport-specific strength programs.
Please Note: I cannot give out any type of exercise programs. I can give advice, but don't ask me to give you an off-season workout or program to do at home. I know nothing about you and cannot give information like that over this forum. You might misinterpret what I'm saying, get hurt, and I get in trouble. Ask specific questions. I do have a document you can download that discusses the basics of losing and gaining weight. Please click here to download this document.

Expert: Adam Kessler Date: 5/15/2008 Subject: Loose weight off thighs
Question Hi Adam, i am 17 years old and I am training to be a ballet dancer at a vocational school and we are constantly in leotards so i a lot of your body is exposed. I would like to know how to loose weight off my thighs as they are not in proportion with the rest of my body. I obviously exercise a lot so what should i do diet wise,as in eating.
Thankyou very much. hope you can help.
Answer Jess, just some general tips.
First, I would try to eat whole foods as much as possible. Fresh fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates from the ground like potatoes, sweet potatoes, and yams, and proteins such as chicken or turkey breasts, lean meat.
You want to make sure that at each meal you are getting a protein, a vegetable, and a carbohydrate. Make sure each food is roughly the same size. This way you don't have a little bit of protein and a lot of carbs.
That being said, if you are dancing a lot, then you might want to increase your carbs a little more because they provide you with energy.
For a snack, a protein and a fruit is a good combination, such as almonds and apples, nuts and a banana.
Eating will be the key. Don't cut your calories at all. You burn a lot so your actual problem might not be eating enough (of the right foods) for your body to burn the fat efficiently. Your body wants to make sure it has enough calories to meet the physical demands your putting your body through. So try to eat once every three hours as best you can. Like a breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between.
