Experience
I have been a personal trainer, aerobics instructor, nutrition advisor and boot camp instructor for several years,in South Florida.
I generally prefer to train people outdoors in a park setting. The workout outside is just as tough as a gym workout.I can give people a excellent workout using just their bodyweight.I do a bootcamp style class with groups of 5-10 people.

Question
Hi
I am 50,no health issues except for the spare tire that wont go ;-)
I seem to be able to go for stretches of a week or two where I can exercise ,but then my body/muscles get exhausted ,and just cant muster the energy for about a week. Its like I need a weeks rest to recover.
I dont overexert myself,I jog on my treadmill,do some light weights, then stretch, for a total of 45 minutes, three to five times a week.
Its like I am making progress and my belly is shrinking and I am getting stronger then BOOM I am flat on the couch for a week, maybe having a few snacks.Progress halts or goes back.
Is there a strategy I can try? Should I be taking a supplement or something? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Cal,
Thank you for your question.
How is your diet?
Are you eating properly-more carb and protein-less fat and sodium-plenty of water?
Are you getting enough sleep-about 8 hours a night?
You should probably try a multi vitamin.
Make sure that you are eating breakfast everyday.
Thank You,
Bonnie
