Question
when trying to lose weight should i do cardio and strength training or just cardio.

Answer
It depends on how much weight you have to lose. I recommend you start with the first 4 weeks with straight up cardio for 45 minutes. Once the 4 weeks are over, then introduce some basic weight-training twice per week. Continue your cardio at that time also and watch what you eat.
