Question hi i wanted to ask you about of exercises.i play basketball and i am 5ft5in tall .Actually i dont have a great built so i just started doing crunches , dips .i cannot do a pull up or a push up it drains me out completely like if i would somehow manage to do 5 push up i am DONE. so as i play basketball i wanted to know about exercises which would help me tone up my body and could you tell me any exercises o increase height.
Answer Hi Rahul..
What it sounds like is that you need to strengthen your core. Most folks that have trouble with push up are weak in the core.
Start off with doing planks. A plank is where you rest your body on your elbows and toes while keeping the body completely straight. Hold this for as long as you can. A goal is to get to about 90 seconds.
You should also do squatting exercises to gain strength in the legs. Be certain that you are sitting back into the squat like you are sitting on a chair.
Keep attempting the pull ups and the pushups.
As far as increasing your height? That is in your genetics and nothing can be done about that.
