Question Hi. I want to gain a good physique by the end of August this year. Ive been working out since 13th March 2007, and i want to obtain a better physique quickly by the deadline that i have (August). And i was thinking of upping the way i exercise.
Before, i used to train 2 bodyparts each day with each bodypart having 3 sets of each exercise (5days a week). For Example:
Monday- Shoulders and Triceps (3 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Tuesday- Chest (3 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Wednesday- Wings/Back and Biceps (3 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Thursday- Shoulders and Triceps Repeated (3 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Friday- Chest (3 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Saturday- Off
Sunday-Off
The routine that im following currently is 1 bodypart each day with each exercise having 6 sets. Like:
Monday-Shoulders (6 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Tuesday-Chest (6 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Wednesday-Triceps (6 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Thrusday- Wings/Back (6 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Friday- Biceps (6 sets of each exercise having 12-13 reps)
Saturday-Off
Sunday-Off
There is one question that i would like to ask you: What if i want to do 6 sets of each exercise for the same bodypart (each bodypart) TWICE a day (morning and evening)to get a good physique till july/august?
What if i follow the routine given above twice a day?
And the other question that i have is: Does steroid usage make a guy impotent?

Answer So you want to go twice a day with the amount of exercises you listed? I think it is overkill and you put yourself at high risk for over-training AND injury. You have high volume and not enough recovery.
Let me ask you:
are you eating sufficient amount of calories? Protein intake?
Are sleeping 7-9 hours a night?
Do you stay hydrated?
Do you take any supplements?
What is your fascination with August?
I advise you mix and match some of your routine and change it up. Your body will adapt very quickly to body splits. Try integrating more movements, rather than focus on parts.
