Question Hi John
I am looking for an exercise that will target the muscles involved in doing hockey crossovers.
To demonstrate what I mean, stand up and lift one leg, foot pointed down, and cross it over the other one.
It feels like the lower back and front thigh is involved.
I do squats, deadlifts, and situps, but none of these really hit that area.Anything you can reccomend?
Answer Barry,
I recommend you try "Crossover Lunges" that resemble lots of hockey work. YOu can check them out on my website (www.standapartfitness.com)
Once there, click on Videos and scroll to the "Free the Hip" video. Click on teh Preview button and it will take you to a 1 minute compilation of exercise that target the hips--perfect for hockey!
