Question Ok like im 16 and im 6"1 , 150lb, and i do track and field and my coach recomened pilates and and like to know any workouts for running the 400m and 200m and Longjump.
AIMING for: 49.50sec, 21.00sec, 7.50m.
i do squat, lounge.. all of that i just need some of your adivice and streches to acheive these goals.
i just dont think i have the right speed and strenght yet.
Answer Hey Leonard, just finished watching Jeremy W. win the 400m at the world championships. He ran 43.45. There's a goal for you. I am sure your coaches have you doing all the good stuff and the only thing I would recommend would be certain exercises that I know help sprinters. I like step ups with weights, Romanian dead lifts, and certain plyometric drills. I also like up hill sprints and certain sprint drills like fast feet, A & B skips, butt kicks and seated arm drills. Be sure to consult with your coach and always workout with someone who has experience with above exercises and drills.
