Question Hi. I'm starting weightlifting soon and i was wonderin how to make your own personalized workout. Do you do your max bench and then do weights close to it or what? I need help. Thanx.
Answer Hi Eddie. If you're just starting up weightlifting, there is no reason to do any testing. First, you should be able to move your own bodyweight. Lifts such as push-ups, lunges, bodyweight squats, chin-ups and planks should make a up a good part of your routine. Second, your routine should be a full-body routine performed 2-3 times per week. And lastly, your reps should be anywhere in the 10-20 range depending upon the exercise. It is important to build up the strength of the connective tissue before getting into any heavy lifting.
