Answer I don't know if I'd say one is better than the other. It depends on the individual. If it's someone sitting behind the desk or wheel of a car all day, the last thing I want to put them on is a bike. That's the bike's downside. The downside to the elliptical, is that it hardly takes any work to get the pedals moving. Unless, you're really going to bump up the resistance, the elliptical is too easy to use. Watch someone on an elliptical. It looks like they are hardly working. Either piece of equipment is going to have it's pro's and cons. They are pretty equal in my book.
