Question
Is doing plyometrics(say doing jumping) everyday bad or do you need to rest just like in weightlifting?

Answer
I would suggest no more than three days per week of plyometric work.  One day would be linear or saggital plane plyometrics, another day of lateral or transverse plane plyometrics, and another day of upper body plyos.  And keep the volume of the sessions low.  It is more about the quality of each exercise performed.
